3 DAYS IN EAST TENNESSEE

Mid-East Itinerary

DAY 1 : Start your tour of Mid-East Tennessee with a day in Sevierville. In the morning, take your pick of such attractions as the Tennessee Museum of Aviation , Rainforest Adventures or Forbidden Caverns . Afterwards, grab a bite to eat at the NASCAR Cafe , then head over to the NASCAR SpeedPark . That evening, you can enjoy incredible entertainment at Great China Acrobats . Or, let east meet west and see Come Celebrate America , one of the most patriotic shows in town. Don't forget to pick up a great souvenir at one of the factory outlets in the area. You can go shopping at the Tanger Outlet Center or Governor's Crossing .

DAY 2 : It's a short drive to Pigeon Forge in the morning. If you get there early, you can enjoy the Blackwood Brothers Breakfast Show at the Black Bear Jamboree Theater . If time permits, you can even squeeze in a visit to the Elvis Museum , the Dinosaur Walk Museum or the Smoky Mountain Car Museum . Then it's off to Dollywood for an action-packed day of amusement park rides, family entertainment, arts and crafts demonstrations, and special events.

DAY 3 : Round out your trip through Mid-East Tennessee with a day in Gatlinburg, gateway to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park . While you're there, you can stop by the Guinness World Records Museum , Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies or the World of Illusions . Be sure to save plenty of time for enjoying breathtaking views of the Smokies on the Gatlinburg Sky Lift , the Ober Gatlinburg aerial tramway or the Space Needle . At day's end, you can settle down for a peaceful evening in a cozy cabin or chalet tucked into the mountains.
